In a dominating performance on Saturday evening, Ciara Sheedy booked her place in next Satuday’s Irish Ladies Boxing final at the National Stadium on South Circular Road.

After a cagey first round in which Sheedy and her Ballincollig opponent Sarah Desmond sought to work each other out, it was Sheedy who found her self a point to the fore. From there Sheedy took over and after a devastating second round was 9-2 in the lead, from there it was a matter of staying out of trouble in the third. Ciara finished 12-3 up and now faces Clodagh Greene from South Meath boxing club in next week’s final, Greene herself having put in a dominant performance in her semi.

So all roads lead to the National Stadium next Saurday where Ciara Sheedy looks to make good on what she set out to achieve back in September…
