Jack Kavanagh lived up to his billing today by defending his Connacht title in style!
Kavanagh travelled to Oughterard in confident mood and didn’t disappoint, conquering Patrick Lawrence of Eagle BC Westport, on a scoreline of 14 – 4.
Nursing a tender thumb all week which had caused some concern amoung the coaches, Kavanagh found his stride almost immediately. Right from the off Kavanagh dominated off the back, and on the front foot.
Up after round one, Kavanagh dominated the second and finished strongly in the third to retain his Connacht crown and secure his place at next month’s National Boys Championships, at the home of Irish boxing, the National Stadium, Dublin.
Wwll Done Jack we are so Proud of you now work hard for Dublin
