Jack Kavanagh dropped a close contest in the Quarter finals of the National boys Championships in Dublin on Wednesday last. Kavanagh dominated round 1 against his Antrim opponent Conor McMullan of St Georges, but a sloppy second round saw him trail going into round 3. Despite another good last round, Jack had left himself with too much to do and could not claw back the deficit.
Disappointed with his second round performance, Jack says that he will endeavour to put in all three rounds at the National Cadet championships in a month’s time at the national stadium.
