Swinford BC Exhibition Show

Last Thursday night Swinford BC held it’s first all exhibition show of the 2012-13 season. Boxers travelled from Ballinrobe and Ballina to take part. A great night was had by all and numerous boxers made their debuts for the club. Everyone impressed and feedback from the the large crowd in attendance was extremely positive. All tickets for the postponed Mayo v’s Clare of last weekend valid for this weekend

All tickets purchased for last weekend’s postponed inter-county tournament will be honoured on Sunday of this weekend. Action begins @ 5pm sharp.

Clare confirm full team for Sunday

Clare have confirmed that the full team agreed for last weekend’s postponed inter-county will travel this weekend to Swinford. The team will include European Bronze medalists Sally Carrig and Keelan Sexton and multiple irish title holders, Caoilinn and Kayleigh McCormack.

Mayo have also confirmed a full side for Sunday. The action gloves off at 5pm. A large attendance is expected so get there early to avoid disappointment.

Mayo v Clare re-fixed – Sunday @ 5pm

The tragic events of the weekend put boxing and sport in general into perspective. They were a sad reminder of how precious
life is and what is important.

On Friday last in respect, the club members postponed Mayo v Clare, upon news of the tragic passing of Tara Ryan RIP, a young woman and fellow sportsperson from our locality.

Next Sunday the club will hold the re-fixed Mayo v’s Clare inter-county boxing tournament at 5pm in the Conway Gym & Fitness Centre, and as we go about our sport, we will take a little time to appreciate the important things…

Mayo v Clare CANCELLED

Due to a tragedy in the area, the Swinford Boxing Club tournament due to take place tonight in the Conway Gym and Fitness Centre has been cancelled.

Novice Show tomorrow night

Don’t forget tommorrow’s warm up novice show gloves off at 7.30pm in the Conway Gym and Fitness Centre. This is a chance to come and see Swinford’s up and coming boxing talent. Admission is free with raffle on the night.

The Bill hots up for Friday night

It has been confirmed tonight that European Bronze medalists Keelan Sexton and Sally Carrig have been added to the programme for Friday night. The Ennis duo will meet multiple Irish title holders Nicholas Gallagher and Louise Donoghue respectively. With just a couple of days to go it just gets better and better……
